On land blessed by God with revelation, Medina stands proud with its history, fragrant with the light of its Prophet ﷺ, combining sanctity and tranquility with simplicity and authenticity.
Madinah is one of the thirteen administrative regions in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is the third largest in terms of total area. It is located in the west of the Kingdom and is bordered to the south by the Makkah region, to the north by Tabuk, to the east by Qassim, Riyadh and Hail, and to the west by the Red Sea.

Its administrative capital is Medina.
The source of the message and the abode of prophecy
In this pure land the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ migrated and settled after the migration journey, and from it the lights of Islam shone forth to fill the world with mercy and justice.
The city includes the Prophet’s Mosque, the second of the two holy mosques and one of the greatest mosques on earth, which houses the grave of the Prophet ﷺ and his two companions, Abu Bakr and Omar, may God be pleased with them.
The city is also known as the heart's desire of believers and their destination after Mecca, and in it the spirit of faith and indescribable tranquility is manifested.

Customs and traditions

The people of the city are known for their kindness, tranquility, and generosity in welcoming visitors and serving pilgrims and Umrah performers.

Ramadan iftar tables are set up on the sidewalks leading to the Prophet's Mosque, a noble custom that expresses sincerity and love of doing good.

Weddings are decorated with palm trees and dates, as an expression of joy and blessings.

A true story from the city

A true story is told about a woman from Medina who used to provide breakfast for passersby heading to the Prophet's Mosque during Ramadan, and she says with a smile

"There may be among them a saint from among the saints of God."
She saw feeding those who were fasting as an act of devotion and love for God, and her story became a shining example of sincerity and good intentions.
