Who We Are

Deera Podcast

The Deera Podcast is a video series produced by the Saudi Broadcasting Authority that aims to explore different regions within the Kingdom, highlighting their natural beauty, the customs of their inhabitants, and their local culture. Each episode offers a short visual experience that reflects the identity of the region and the details of daily life in an engaging and professionally produced manner.

This type of content aligns with our Talid project, which focuses on documenting Saudi heritage as digital content. The “Deera” podcast showcases the natural, architectural, and social landscapes of Saudi regions, making it an inspiration and a practical model for presenting cultural heritage and local identity in an engaging digital format. This can later be developed into a rich visual database within the Talid project.

    Inspired by our culture

    Ministry of Culture

“Inspired by Our Culture” is a program of the Saudi Ministry of Culture that aims to highlight the Kingdom’s cultural and artistic heritage by supporting local creativity and showcasing traditional practices, whether in visual arts, handicrafts, or folk tales. The initiative seeks to document and communicate Saudi culture using modern methods that resonate with the times, while emphasizing national identity and local authenticity.

For the Talid project, the initiative serves as an inspiring model for transforming cultural heritage into engaging digital content. Just as "Inspired by Our Culture" provides a platform to highlight heritage, the Talid project aims to document Saudi heritage as digital content, making it accessible to the public, tourists, and enthusiasts of Saudi culture.
